Acts 21-28
I express my thanks to Vance Sheddy for agreeing to teach this lesson for me since I’ll be out of town this week. Vance has substituted a lot for me over the past 3 1/2 years I’ve been Gospel Doctrine teacher.
Here are some of my thoughts on these chapters: First, this wraps up our study of Acts. This, in itself, is significant to our scripture study this year.
*What do the parallels between the Savior’s life & Paul’s teach us?
*Why would Paul return to Jerusalem when he had been warned so many times of the danger?
*Why didn’t Paul simply heed the warnings & continue preaching without returning to Jerusalem?
*If Paul wasn’t going to heed the warnings, for what purpose were they given?
*Do you see modern parallels?
*How does this apply to our life? Is ignorance “bliss?”
*Why does Luke recount Paul’s conversion story 3 times in Acts?
*What purpose did it serve for Paul to go to Rome when he could have been released after testifying to Agrippa?
